Bilgi ve Beceri Dernegi (Knowledge and Skill Association) has established with the aim of helping increase the knowledge and skills of individuals from all walks of life. It is very important for our association to help individuals maintain their personal and professional development. We believe that the way of being a producing country and society is by increasing the capacities of individuals.
We have also professional knowledge and experience as a reliable partner to offer many different projects and programs in Europe (Erasmus+) and to advise against any problems that applicants may have. In the activities of our association, the young people from all continents and culture come together to exchange ideas and form friendship and professional connections.
Social context.
The Bilgi ve Beceri Dernegi works with young people of various ethnicities, religions and cultures, with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and from various countries in Europe and Asia. The multicultural context in the region involves the association in projects to find the needs of young people, to find solutions for their inclusion in groups and in community life.
Our main goal are :
- To provide knowledge and skills for youth and to facilitate mobilities
- To break down the prejudices on cultures, nations, religions etc.
- To improve personal and professional development for the group member, teachers, students and youngsters
- To find solutions for social inclusion within both national and international projects.
BVB is active participant in projects for staff or (and) students’ mobility, to develop communication in the mother tongue; communication in foreign languages; learning to learn; cultural awareness and expression; social and civic competences since 2017.
By planning and implementing Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 projects that are both interesting and meaningful, BVB envisions a brighter future for students and youth in Turkey, in which the young people will lead the way towards ensuring environmental sustainability, promoting the spread of free information, and taking the initiative to help others and enhance their communities through responsible actions.
As regards the projects, the organization is implementing EU funded projects (trainings, exchanges, seminars of Youth in Action and Erasmus+, KA104, KA202) events, flesh mobs, language clubs, movie nights, intellectual games and VET lessons in schools .
The main activities of BVB include:
- Youth-led VET and cultural projects, and a variety of social events for youth, such as concerts, intellectual games, tree plantings, excursions, and inter-cultural exchanges; – to encourage young people on activism and participation, to facilitate their involvement in local and national social initiatives
- Social activities, group games involving young people from different communities ;
- Trainings, seminars about human rights, democracy, youth participation in decision making process,
- campaigns about diversity and raising awareness of young people about youth problems
- In cooperation with our partner organizations and with our volunteers young people are having English, Spanish, Italian, German language classes;
- Upcycling, hand made groups of the NGO where youth are making different materials from wood, plastic and paper. During classes, the club is working with Art school of Nigde city. – international youth projects (seminars, trainings, conferences) Erasmus+ projects as sending and hosting organization;
- Intercultural clubs, where we represent youth the cultural peculiarities of different countries and try to learn more about intercultural diversity.
Being active member of international organizations BVB is always sending participants to Erasmus+ KA1 (KA104, KA105) and KA2 (KA201, KA204, KA205) projects. After coming back from the project we are feeling good impact of the project to the young people who are living in cities and do not have much opportunities for developing themselves.
